Meet CeCe | Our Koala Spirit in Action

Before the 1970s, Columbia College didn’t have a mascot. Then the students chose: Koalas or Crickets. Koalas won, and “CeCe” became the friendly, furry face of our campus. Now CeCe visits games, community events, and photo ops, spreading cheer, pride, and Koala energy at every turn.

What CeCe Does

  • Appears at athletic games, campus events, and community engagements

  • Delights fans, students, families, and alumni with high-fives, waves, and smiles

  • Showcases the fun side of Columbia College spirit, tradition, and connection

Bring the Spirit to You

Nothing energizes a crowd like a Koala entrance. If you’re planning a campus or community event and want that extra spark of fun, invite CeCe! Our beloved mascot can stop by for high-fives, photos, and unforgettable moments. Requests are honored on a first-come, first-served basis for events within the region, and once your form is submitted, the Mascot Team will reach out with availability and next steps.

Become the Koala Behind the Magic

Ready to be a campus celebrity? Mascot Team members hype up the Koala spirit everywhere they go. Student performers selected to suit up as CeCe receive a $1,500 scholarship per academic year, and CeCe’s Keepers are paid for each event appearance. Plus, Keepers have the chance to level up and step into the costume the following semester. Submit your application and the Mascot Team will follow up with details!
